We read the fine print.
It ruined ice cream for us.
Somewhere along the way, most of India's "ice cream" quietly stopped being ice cream. Flip the tub and the fine print says frozen dessert: vegetable fat standing in for milk fat, air standing in for cream.
That bothered us more than it should have. So instead of putting the tub back one more time, we decided to make the one we kept looking for.
It took longer than it was supposed to. Real milk fat! Real ice cream! Real taste! Recipes rebuilt a dozen times before they earned a lid, benchmarked against the best in the country, checked batch by batch, then kept cold, unbroken, to your freezer.
We named it KreemiK, gave it colours that make you smile before you taste it, and a tagline that doubles as an instruction: too good to rush.
"We didn't set out to build an ice cream brand. We set out to make a tub we couldn't fault. The brand followed."
